Glass’s Guide

William Glass b. Scotland in 1881, first introduced the guide in 1933. It is the leading guide to car values and not long after its publication became known as the “bible” of the UK motor trade. Glass, an engineer to trade, invented the portable hydraulic jack, the electric switch off kettle, the self-filling fountain pen and the through-the-propeller machine gun firing mechanism.
