Clair Ridge Oilfield

Located 75 Km west of Shetland, Clair is the UK’s largest hydrocarbon resource. 28 March 2013, BP announced a further 5 wells at a cost of £330M, with the possibility of more to follow. These initial wells will allow access to reserves of at least 640 million BOE. First oil anticipated late 2016, with production expected to reach 120,000 barrels of oil per day over a 50 year period.
