LORIMER, John Gordon (1870-1914)
Born Glasgow, Scotland. Made a massive contribution to knowledge of the Gulf area with his six volume Gazetteer of the Persian Gulf, Oman an Central Arabia. Elder brother of David Lockhart Robertson Lorimer.
