Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce
Founded in 1877
Founded in 1877
Founded 1785
Founded on 1st January 1783 and granted a Royal Charter by George III later that year. The oldest chamber in the English speaking world, having continuous records since its foundation. Wikipedia states that the three oldest chambers in the UK are Hull founded in 1837, Leeds 1851 and Belfast whose first president wasn’t born until 1849. Several Scottish chambers were founded earlier than those three but perhaps the compiler of that entry was unaware that Scotland was part of the UK.
Founded in 1813 it is one of the oldest chambers in Britain.
